At the invitation of IMHE, Dr. ZHANG Li, Deputy Director of Wilma H.Schiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park，The Ohio State University gave a symposium on “Wetland Restoration and New Opportunity in China” on May 20th2009.

Prof. WANG Genxu, Director of Mountain Ecology and Hydrology Laboratory and related scientists and students attended the meeting. ZHANG introduced the present state of wetland research both in China and America and progress of Wetland Research Park. ZHANG discussed many concerns on wetland restoration and research in China with participants.

Dr. ZHANG Li and Prof. CHENG Song, Prof. LI Jiyue reached a common consensus on establishing Earthquake Ecology Theory and developing further study and collaboration.
