Write-Shop to develop Koshi River Basin Proposal held in Nepal |
The aims of Write-Shop are to review draft proposal for UK-funded ESPA (Environmental Services for Poverty Alleviation) programme, to discuss, edit and agree the draft impact pathway, draft logframe and the capacity building plan, and to agree the process for finalizing the proposal by January 19, 2011.
Prof. OUYANG Hua, programme manager of Integrated Water and Hazard Management of ICIMOD, presided the workshop. Dr. Garrett Kilroy, the transboundary project’s coordinator from ICIMOD, gave an overview presentation on ESPA programme and draft Koshi proposal, and explained the format of Write-Shop and ground rules. Then all participants discussed in groups. After two day’s discussion, the participants have written out the draft proposal. Then experts will amend and improve the proposal so as to make it more comprehensive and be sure to deliver it before the deadline.
The Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMHE, CAS) is responsible for writing chapters on hazards, ecosystem, and socio-economic parts.
