Topic: Modeling event-based sediment transport at the watershed scale

Speaker: Dr. Peng GAO, Department of Geography, Syracuse University, USA

Time: 10:30-12:00, May 31, 2013

Venue:the 3rd floor Meeting Room, Building 1, IMHE

Prof. Peng Gao will introduce an acronym of Dynamic Watershed Simulation Model (DWSM). DWSM simulates runoff movement, subsurface flow, sediment transport, and biochemical material transport both on hill slopes and in their connected stream network. It has a relatively high modeling efficiency with a relatively simple model structure. Prof. Peng will show the model simulation style, operation procedure, and an application of DWSM to an agricultural watershed in central New York.
