Topic: Recent Advances in Forest Assessment using Remote Sensing
Speaker:Prof. Huang Chengquan ( University of Maryland)
Time:10:00-11:30 am June 17, 2015
Venue:The 7th floor Meeting Room, Building 2#, IMHE
Abstract of the seminar:
Remote sensing provides an important tool for forest assessment. Recent advances in time series analysis and lidar remote sensing make it possible to derive many forest attributes that were difficult to characterize using conventional remote sensing capability. This talk will provide a review of recent advances in these areas and discuss future opportunities for improving forest assessment using remote sensing.
