The achievements of project Rural Non-point Pollution Mechanism and Controlling Measure of the Purple Soil Hilly Area passed appraisal TEXT SIZE: A A A

  

Project of Rural Non-point Pollution Mechanism and Controlling Measure of the Purple Soil Hilly Area, hosted by Science and Technology Bureau of Sichuan Province, accomplished by IMHE passed expert committee’s appraisal on 9th May.

The host of appraisal meeting was director of achievement division, Science and Technology Bureau of Sichuan Province Zhang Jinjun, and appraisal committee consisted of 7 experts from China Agriculture University, Sichuan Agriculture University, Institute of Ecological Environment and Soil of Guangdong Province, Agriculture Bureau of Sichuan Province, Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Sichuan Academy of Forestry and Chongqing University, respectively. The chairman of appraisal committee was Prof, Zhang Fusuo from China Agriculture University, and vice chairmen were Prof. Deng Liangji from Sichuan Agriculture University and researcher Wan Hongfu from Institute of Ecological Environment and Soil of Guangdong Province.

Sponsored by Youngster Fund of Science and Technology Bureau of Sichuan Province, NNSF and CAS Key Project, this project systematically studied non-point pollution mechanism and controlling technological research system with vivid characteristics.  

In the meeting, The project host, researcher Dr.Zhu Bo made an introduction on the achievements, then the committee conducted enquiry and evaluation, focusing on key issues, and finally said highly to this project for its rational technology flow, methodology, reliable and abundant material, innovation, outstanding demonstration effect. The committee said that this achievement would play an important role in water resource security in Three-gorge Reservior and upper Yangtze River, and the whole achievement had be promoted to international high level, especially the achievement of flow monitor system in sloping field thin soil.

Director Deng Wei of IMHE addressed a welcome and thank-you speech to all the experts.
