The Third CAS Key Project undertaken by IMHE was officially launched TEXT SIZE: A A A

The third phase launch meeting of the third CAS key project hosted by vice director Cheng Genwei was held in IMHE on 12th June,2009. The participants included secretary Fan Weiming and director Wang Hui from Bureau of Resources and Environment, CAS, Director Deng Wei, vice director Wei Fangqiang, researcher Chen Guojie, researcher Zhong Xianghao, researcher Wu Jishan, as well as all project hosts and other researchers from IMHE.

Vice director Cheng Genwei from IMHE in the meeting made a summary for the former two phases of CAS key project, appraised highly that this project promoted research ability and boosted researcher cultivation. Secretary Fan Weiming from Bureau of Resources and Environment, CAS encouraged IMHE to take good advantage of CAS Key Project Program and National Vital Project to boost research work developing meaningfully and significantly.  

Project hosts Deng Wei, Wang Genxu and Cheng Ningsheng made presentations in detail respectively, mainly on research objective, content, technology flow, implementation scheme and research progress of their own projects, the titles of which are Research on situation and resource and environmental security strategy of southwest mountain area; Vertical belt chart research on response and adaption of Gongga Mountain ecological system to climate change; Theory and technique of comprehensive prevention to rainstorm type debris flow and landslide in sloping field with potential crack after earthquake. Followed presentation section was a discussion among experts, leaders and project hosts, and lots of suggestion and advice were given to revise research objective and implementation scheme, which will ensure all the projects proceeding successfully.
