Workshop of Research on Sustainable and Spatial Adjustment of the Upper Reach of The Minjiang River Based on Resource and Environmental Safety held in Chengdu on March 19th, 2013. Dr. Deng Wei, director of Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, CAS presided over the meeting.

Five project leaders reported the plan, time schedule, divisions of labour and goal of the project in 2013 in detail. Experts put forward advice and suggestion against the project plan.

Dr. Deng Wei pointed out that researchers should grasp characteristics of the upper reach of the Minjiang River, determine the research frame about regional characteristics, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and pay more attention to the scientific and technological output. Dr. Xiong Donghong emphasized in the conclusion address that researchers need to modify work plan according to experts’ advices, accelerate the pace of work, enrich output and accomplish the annual goals successfully.
