Chediguan Bridge on Duwen Road was broken by big stones on 25th July due to rock collapse. The bridge collapsed about one hundred meters. Six people were killed, twelve people were injured and seven vehicles were damaged (reported by Xinhuanet).

However, the damaged bridge has been repaired with the joint efforts of relevant units. In accordance with how to protect the bridge and ensure safe and efficient traffic operations, Experts from IHME designed a new complex energy consumption shock absorption structure. This research result has been listed into national patent.
