Mr. CHEN Lesheng, director of Sino-German Center for Research Promotion, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) visited Chengdu Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment (IMHE) on May 24th, 2010.
Prof. CHENG Genwei, deputy director of IMHE expressed a warm welcome to the visitors and gave an overview of the status of IMHE. Prof. CHENG pointed out that Sino-German cooperation is an important part of the international cooperation strategy in IMHE.

Mr. CHEN Lesheng introduced their work briefly and had a detailed discussion with participants. Mr. CHEN encouraged IMHE to strengthen their future Sino-German cooperation and make greater achievement.
Sino-German Center for Research Promotion was set up together by NSFC and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The mission of the center is to expand the Sino-German cooperation in different fields, especially focused on supporting young scientists.
