Recently, Stanford University, America, has released the List of World’s Top 2% Scientists 2022. From Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMHE, CAS), Cui Peng, Academician of Chinese Academy of Science, was included in both the “Career-long Science Impact Ranking List” and the “2022 Single-year Science Impact Ranking List”, and the three other scientists, Prof. Fang Yiping, Prof. Ouyang Chaojun and Prof. Yu Fangwei, were also included in the “2022 Single-year Science Impact Ranking List”.

The list of World’s Top 2% Scientists, based on the Scopus database - the largest one in the world, is co-released by Elsevier Publishing Group and Prof. John P.A. loannidis team from Stanford University, America. The world’s top 2% scientists were selected based on the scientific influence of their academic achievements, with the purpose to objectively reflect their academic influence and outstanding contributions over the world. Since the list was first released in 2019, the following scientists from IMHE, CAS have been included.
