1987:M.A. in GIS, State University of New York at Buffalo, USA.

1983:M.Sc. in Remote Sensing, Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.  

1980:Dip. Engineering in Aerial Photogrammetry, Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping, Wuhan, China.
