BACKGROUND

The Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMHE, CAS), successfully organized the 1st and 2nd International Conference on Mountain Environment and Development (ICMED) in 2002 and 2012 in Chengdu, China. IMHE is now organizing the 3rd ICMED to be alongside with the 33rd International Geographical Congress of IGU on August 21-25, 2016 in Beijing, China. This conference will provide an opportunity to enhance the academic exchanges on mountain environment and development, discuss the future of mountain research.

☆The time and place of ICMED is in conformity with the 33rd IGC (the definite date will be disclosed in the final notification).

☆Call for abstracts/papers between 15 September, 2015 and 15 February, 2016

☆Abstracts/Papers should be submitted online (http://www.igc2016.org/dct/page/1).

At the same time a copy is kindly requested to be sent to the organization committee at: huying@imde.ac.cn.

☆Evaluation of abstract / papers by session chairperson(s) between 16 February, 2016 and 15 April, 2016.

☆Selected papers will be recommended to submit to Journal of Mountain Science (http://jms.imde.ac.cn).
