The Three-Gorge Project Construction Committee of the State Council held a meeting of Ecological and Environmental Monitor System for Three-Gorge Project and Research Demonstration workshop on 26th March, 2009.

Summaries and communication were given for the whole year’s work of monitor system key stations in 2008. Name plates were conferred to the top stations and awards were conferred to the top units and individuals. Further work was assigned on present and future ecological and environmental protection for the Three-Gorge Project. Wanzhou Ecological Station of IMHE was conferred a name plate of Wanzhou Typical Ecological and Environmental Monitor Key Station of Ecological and Environmental Monitor System for Three-Gorge Project, Chen Zhijian, principal of Wanzhou station was conferred an award for his outstanding contribution.
