International Cooperation Strategy Meeting was held in Chengdu Mountain Hazard and Environment, CAS (IMHE) on September 17th, 2009.

Professor DENG Wei, director of IMHE, firstly emphasized the importance of international cooperation for IMHE in face of opportunities of coming 12^th National Plan and the 3^rd Innovative Program of CAS. DENG gave a general introduction on recent key progress and achievement in international cooperation, pointed out under the new situation what challenges and opportunities IMHE would be confronted with, and in the end drew a conclusion that we should take an initiative to improve international cooperation, in order to further expand international influence of IMHE. 

Professor WEI Fangqiang, deputy director of IMHE, made a detailed analysis of advantages and disadvantages for IMHE’s international cooperation, and put forward some suggestions on enlarging international channels.

Professor WEN Anbang, director of Science and Technology Division of IMHE, encouraged our researchers to apply more international projects from EU, World Bank, Asia Bank, etc.
