Mr. WANG Dasheng, director of Agricultural Office of CAS, visited Chengdu Mountain Hazard and Environment, CAS (IMHE) on October 16th, 2009. IMHE held a symposium on the Twelfth Plan of Mountain Area Development.　

Professor DENG Wei, director of IMHE, firstly introduced the structural adjustments of IMHE and emphasized the importance of mountain development.

Mr. WANG Dasheng first analyzed the agriculture policies. Then he introduced main work done by Agricultural Office of CAS, taking the case of Taihang Mountain and Mentougou area of Beijing Project. Finally, he highlighted the typical CAS project, such as Agricultural Pest Prevention, Halobios Analysis, and New Rural Construction and so on.

Professor SU Chunjiang, director of Research Center of Mountain Development, focused on the strategy of agricultural products like fruits, valuable fungus, flowers and Chinese medicine.

The both sides had a heated discussion in the end of the report.
